Some Dulux formulations eliminate the need for priming surfaces, allowing you to apply top coats right away.

Give the paint a thorough swirl, then transfer it to your tray and start painting. First, use a brush to make incisions around the edges.

Next, paint the larger areas of your floor or staircase with your roller. When the surface is ready, apply a second coat and let it to dry, adhering to the drying time stated on the back of the paint tin.

The best advice is to softly mist a roller with water using a spray bottle if it's your first time using one. By doing this, you can lessen fluff and increase paint absorption on the roller.
